No sound from windows media player

I am facing some issue with my computer everything was working fine few days ago but today when i try to play any song in Window Media player there is no sound at all whether it be MP3's or Video's or whatever, but if i try to play the same song with Real Player and Quick Time everything works fine though. It just happened out of no where and I have not made any changes or anything which is very odd. Anyone know what's going on?

It might happen that some of the files of Windows Media Player had got corrupted because of which you are not able to hear any sound from it. In that case you need to uninstall Windows Media Player and try to download the latest version of Windows Media Player from the internet, i am sure this should work for you.

I have try to download the latest version of windows media player but still facing same issue and i usually don't use other application because they are not user friendly as Window media player is, i had a talk with my friends to about the issue, but they also don't have any idea about it. Please give me some suggestion your small idea would be very helpful for me.

I was also facing such kind of issue where i was not able to hear any audio for my videos in that case i came to know that movie may be created to utilize a certain codec to allow the file to be smaller and more portable. However, in order for the movie file to be played in the media player it must also have the codec installed. I would suggest you to install the latest version of Codec from the site and then try o play back it, i am now you will be able to hear audio from Windows media player.
