How to remove a shadow photoshop cs2?

Hi,

I have a question. Do anyone know how to remove the shadow from an image? I have a friends Image & on her face there is shadow that I want to remove. IS this possible in photoshop cs2?
If its possible please can anyone guide me in right way?

Well to answer your question it not that you always want to remove the shadow but lightning the shadow also works out in a great way. You can use the healing brush or cloning tool to remove the shadow up to great extent. Then you can also adjust the opacity & the flow.

You can also use the "Shadow/Highlight" adjustment mechanism.
