How to convert an Image to photoshop pencil sketch

Hi,

I am working with Photoshop.
My question : Is it possible to convert a picture into pencil sketch effect?
If Yes please can someone help me with the steps?

Rendering A Pencil Sketch From A Photograph

try these steps:

1. Open an image in PhotoShop 6, preferably a photograph.

2. Create a copy of the background layer (Layer- >Duplicate Layer) and invert it. (Image- >Adjust- > Invert).

3. Convert image to Grayscale (Image- > Mode- > Grayscale) and choose NOT to flatten the image.

4. Set layer mode to "Color Dodge." This will at first make the layer look almost completely white.

5. Now, bring out some of the pencil strokes by applying the Gaussian blur-filter (Filter-> Blur- > Gaussian Blur) and set "Radius" to somewhere between 1.5 and 5.0 pixels. The pixel size is up to you.

Convert an image into pencil sketch.

Open a picture: First open a picture to modify. I have taken an image in which some horses are walking on river.

Use Highpass: Go to filter menu > Other > Highpass and use setting as given below.

3. Now your image looks like unclear and some dark. An another operation, we have to go image menu > Adjustment > Threshold and use setting as I have done in the given image below.
