Access error The data on the Clipboard is damaged

I have been using MS-Access for a very long time. I have being copying data from csv format excel file and pasting it on the access files whenever necessary, but i haven't had any problems in the past. Now fromsometime access doesn't allow me to paste the contents. Whenever i try to paste in access it gives me this error "The data on the Clipboard is damaged". What is the problem that is causing this error? Please help!

According to the error message i think, this is a memory related error. When doing this operation make a not of free memory. Does it also indicate something about memory? Also did you try to update access recently? There is a bug in one of the update of ms-access. The update seems to work for some users and doesn't work for some users. Do you have enough free memory?

Re: Access error The data on the Clipboard is damaged

Well i have enough free memory anytime. I have 3GB of Ram and this will not run short when i'm only accessing excel and access. Although i did an update from a patch that i had downloaded. Did this update screw my access? Is there a work around for this as i have not yet thought about re-installation as i'm already running short of time... Please help! Even a temporary solution would work... After sometime, i will re-install access... Thanks for the help and in advance..

I had this same problem which was only resolved after i clean installed office all over again. Yeah, its the update patch, that screwed MS-Access. But you can try this method as a temporary solution : In access, open 'clipboard' from home menu in office 2007, now open the spreadsheet and copy the data in the access clipboard. Click the file and click paste.
