Excel 2000 won't get start on Windows Xp

I had installed Windows Xp along with Microsoft Office 2000 on my pc. The problem is that whenever i try to open Excel 2000 on my pc it doesn't get open. I don't understand why i'm not able to open Excel 2000 on my pc? Can nay body tell that what can i do in order to open Excel 2000 on my pc? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue.

In order to get start your Excel, you need to execute it by going to your programs file by looking in for C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office (or something close to that) on your pc. Then click on it in order to execute it on your pc. If it works, then you need to go to Tools, Options and look for an option that says "Ignore Other Applications". If there is a checkmark next to that option, remove it and try the shortcuts again.

For that you need to go to your Start Menu and then click on Run and you need to type in "c:\program files\microsoft office\office\excel.exe" /safe and then it will open Excel 2000 on your pc.

Try to uninstall Microsoft Office 2000 from your pc and then try to reinstall it back on your system. It may be that due to some corrupted files on your system, you may not able to open your Excel 2000 on your system. Check out whether you install it properly on your system.
