outlook 2007 is stuck on waiting to update folder

we have a few windows xp machines that are somehow stuck on outlook is waiting to update folder. they are running outlook 2007 and connected to exchange 2003.
when we disable the cache mode, they work fine, we tried starting with a new OST and still fails. when we delete the outlook profile and started with a new one, still the same thing happens and gets stuck on waiting to update folder.
I am not sure if there is a message stuck in the mailbox "corrupt" or something is wrong.
figured will ask you guys and see if you have any good tips.

Hello , I Think Only rebuilding the cache would Help You solve this problem With outlook , For This You Have to deselect cached mode; restart Outlook; find and delete (or rename the cache file; re-enable cached mode; restart Outlook; wait for it to rebuild the cache

There are going to be a ton of reasons for this but one of them could be your cached mode status. You're in Outlook using RPC over HTTPS you are in cached mode. That means the messages download and are ready for full viewing as soon as they appear in the inbox. In previous versions you'd see a trickle where the text body was there but any attachments had to be waited for. Can you send a message with an attachment (a meg perhaps), one with an OL2002 client and one with OL 2007 in direct, non cached mode, another one with OL2007 in cached mode but not using RPC over HTTPS and a final one with OL2007 cached mode AND RPC over HTTPS. The elapsed time before you're able to access the attachment should be broadly the same.

I think in your case, you might discovered that changing the Exchange Server Settings to "NOT to use cached mode" (temporarily),and then restarting Outlook setting, I will also suggest you just restart your complete computer, to take the fully changed effects. You need not have to worry about the data stored in the because Outlook stores the cache file, so it keeps all and nothing will lost (cache doesn't need rebuilding from scratch), yet synchronization was restored.

Close Outlook
Search and delete the following files,

• extend.dat
• frmcache.dat
• outlook.ost
• views.dat

Restart Outlook, If still the same problem then follow the below steps,

• Close Outlook
• Remove Existing all Outlook Profiles under MAIL option in Control Panel
• Restart the Computer
• Create a New Outlook Profile under MAIL in Control Panel
• Start Outlook
