Hi, I seek for a tutorial which explains how to encrust a subtitle (I have it in .srt) on a divx video. I suppose that Vdub can do it very well but I cannot understand how to use it? So if anyone can give me the right tips, it would be great.

"Trying is the first step towards failure."
Yeah, try Direct VobSub. It came as part of the AutoGK installation I use to make DVD to XviD rips and it works fine for me. Try Media Player Classic with RealAlternative! ;-)
You can use divx to dvd converters for this purpose, but I still want a quick tool that will output the file in the same format (only with the subtitles). The only tool I found that can do this job is submux (parft of the VobSub 2.23 package).
Download Media Player Classic 6486.
It works perfect with .srt file.
Also try VSO Divxtodvd.
I have many movies downloaded and burn with VSO.
This software automatically burn with .srt file.
My dvd player perfect displayed with subtitle.
Also, VSO automatically insert chapters.
This is great software.
You can download your subtitles here:

PS: I.m not recommend VLC player.
It didn’n load your .srt file automatically.
You have to browse your subtitle file manually.
Auto detect subtitle option is not working.
Media player classic is much better than VLC.
I think freeware ffmpegX can help U.
which can merge srt file and video into one file on Mac
just follow this guide :
How to add srt/sub files into avi videos on mac
