Try to disable the auto scan in firefox. To do this you have to type in "about:config" in the address bar then click the i'll be safe or something button, then type in "browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone" in the filter bar near the top one option should show up that says true under the value double click it and it should then say false and also all the text should go bold.

This was all i had to do to make it work and all files where downloading fine after.

You should search the files with the name.
Start > Search > All files and folders > type the name of files.
    Click on search.

If files not found then click on More advance option > tick mark/check " Search hidden files and folders".

This happens when you download files to a security-restricted place on your
computer. Examples of security-restricted places include:

    C:\
    C:\program files\
    C:\Windows

To see these files, browse to the place to which you attempted to download
them, and then click "Show compatability files" in the toolbar.

You should only download files to folders that you created or are inside
your user folder (such as Downloads and Documents).

If you want to put a file you downloaded inside a security-restricted
folder, you should first download it to one of your folders and then move it
to the security-restricted folder - this will prompt you for permission and
    then succeed.

    Hi Ameyaa...

Please let me know the browser your trying to download If you are using Internet explorer then it would download in C:/users/username/Downloads folder....

If it is Firefox it would download on the desktop please have a check and let me know...The best option is to in the search bar below type the downloads folder name and u would find the whole folder for downloads itself and u will find it
