This could be because you have a mismatched version of the dlls on your
    machine. I would try this:
    1. uninstall the current Beta.
    2. make sure all files / directories under c:\program files\windows live\...
are gone or empty, especially the "contacts" directory.
    3. re-install the beta.

This nmdfgds0.dll file referenced here is known to be part of spyware/malware. You may want
to run some known anti-spyware utilities to clean this and possibly other things off your system .

    For example, Windows Defender:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...r/default.mspx

    or MalwareBytes:
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

you might try removing your contact cache store which can sometimes cause all sorts of weird problems (and it's cached on the server anyway, so you don't lose any data). You do this by pressing the Windows key and R together on the keyboard to bring up the Run box, typing in:%userprofile%\local settings\application data\microsoft and click OK. Then find the Windows Live Contacts folder and delete it.

i've tried uninstalling the messenger, then remove all folders and files related to that, download the latest version and install it.

so far so good, except now i get this message "cant sign in because the services is temporarily unavailable...." error code 80040154.
tried to work it out through the help section (registering msxml3.dll and installing XML parser 3.0) over there but it didnt solve the problem

    any idea?....
