Windows Vista Disc tray Not Opening Up?

hi i am new here and i hope im posting this in the right section and im sorry if its in the wrong section.im having some troubles with my windows vista ultimate.the problem is my disc tray is not opening at all and i have no idea how to fix and i dont even see the orange light turning on the side when i push the button in and i have a blank dvd media disc in their right now which i cant get out.now ive done my best to search everywhere online but nothing has been able to help me.I would like to avoid to taking my laptop back to the store to get fix cause i know they will scratch the top of the laptop like they did last time.so i hope somebody would be able to help me out thank you in advance and thanks for everyone's time!

Click Start , Run , type MSCONFIG in the Open: box, and click OK .
Click the Startup tab, and place a check mark in the Adaptec DirectCD box. (see Figure 1)
System Configuration Utility
Click Apply , and then click OK .
When prompted to restart the system, click Yes .
After the system restarts, eject the disc.

- Try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del and check if the Imapi.sys prosess is running...
If it is running, then immediately end/close it by clicking End Task and then open the drive

- If still drive doesn't open, you could force open it by shuting down your computer.

look at the cd drive if there is a small hole on it... stick a needle inn and it should open manually

thank you both for the suggestions so im trying the first suggestion right now and i do not see Adaptec DirectCD box?All i have is cd/dvd drive acoustic silencer.and i forgot to mention before my drive isnt even loading the cd when i put in anytype of media disc for some reason?so what would you suggest i do next?

does anybody have any other suggestions that might help me in opening the disc tray and to why it isnt even loading any blank dvds or software when i put the disc in?
