Windows XP "cannot create shell notification icon" error

Whenever I boot my machine I get the message the following message : Scheduled Agent "cannot create shell notification icon" What might be wrong with my computer? Any solution to rid of this? This error is bugging me everytime i start my computer.

Your BIOS may be corrupt, or need updating to handle ACPI (standby features) run setup again, and press F-7 when it prompts to 'Press F-6 for RAID' prompt. This will disable ACPI and enable APM. Hope this helps you! Had a similar issue, solved it the same way as explained above. All the best!

Seemd that your computer needs one anti-virus. Try and download AVG Free Edition. The problem occurs when a virus executes a shell script or a shell command with the help of task scheduling! Go to control panel, task schedular, Check that there isn't any scheduled task except that you have configured!

Thanks for your replies, but i have already tried reinstalling the OS and pressing F-7[to disable ACPI] but the problem is not yet been solved! I'll try the AVG Anti-Virus for sure! Thanks a lot once again!
