Cannot access Sytem Administrator

Hey People,

After huge virus attack on my PC, now i don't have permission to access administrator account using control panel. I scanned my computer n there is no virus found.
Is there any simple setting to change administrator rights? Any suggestion that can help!

As you said, virus attack can cause such problem. So you better backup your data and do clean install of windows. You can also try to repair install before formatting.

If you are using windows vista, then visit -
Vista Security

Before Windows is started, press F8 and choose Safe Mode. When you are in Safe Mode, you can log on with the inbuilt Administrator account. There, you should be able to bring administrative rights back to your account

Then try these:
Click Start button and Run the following -
%windir%\system32\control.exe userpasswords2

It will give you access to user password. You can add or remove password. And then try to access user accounts.
