Unique ID in MS Project?

Hello,

I am trying to figure out a way to create unique ID's in a MS project, which serves as a subprojects.

For an example:

In project one I create an activity with ID 123.
This project is one out of four subprojects.
If I would open any of the other three, there must not exist another 123.

Is this possible or am I doing it all wrong and need to rethink?
