Flock, the browser dedicated networks based on Firefox, has just introduced an extension in alpha allowing its users to develop their use of OpenID.
Once installed the extension, the browser automatically recognizes the sites using this authentication protocol and saves your universal identifiers to reuse systematically.
It is interesting to note that the initiator of this project is none other than MySpace. It could be a way to counter the great rival Facebook, which unveiled the initiative Facebook Connect last Monday. Faced with the draft data portability Facebook, MySpace relies on a browser resolutely turned towards the world of social networks while taking advantage of a system of universal identifiaction.
Note that this extension is not (yet?) Compatible with Firefox.
