Rundll error message

Hello, I hope I'm in the right place to post my topic:
So that's when I start my computer, there is a Rundll error message that says: Can not find file C/System/System32/SystemHper.dll something like that.
I do what I saw watching on the net, I do Start / Run, type msconfig and I went in the Startup tab uncheck to what was related rundll32 I restart my computer and I am frustrated with some more messages. But I would like to know if it prevents me from running some programs or if it could damage my computer. Thank you for giving me an answer telling me what to do to solve this problem permanently.

There is a quick fix for this.

Go to this web site

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

and download the item for

CPL File Association Fix (Restore the default associations for CPL files)

Download this file, unzip it and then double click on the cpl_file_assoc.reg file. If prompted to confirm select yes at the import prompt.

Try running the appwiz.cpl command as before, does it work ok now?

It sound like you need a reformat and reinstall. I'm not sure what pc you have, but if you're on a Dell, or an HP, or a Compaq or something, they usually come with their own custome install disk, and if you try to install with a regualr XP disc, you run into problems with drivers and things, and it's hell to try and find them all.

I have encounter a problem: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RUNDLL32.EXE
I couldn't open the control panel, but finally on Start, then run, wrote appwiz.cpl I finally could open these folders.
But I still get this window saying C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RUNDLL32.EXE
application not found
