    Enumerate ptr records with DNSCMD

I'm trying to follow KB842127 to correct the 'you cannot delete PTR records
in uppercase letters' issue on my 2003 DNS server. So, I fire up dnscmd to
enumerate the reverse zone records based on the article so I can put them in
a text file but I'm having exactly ZERO luck getting dnscmd to enumerate an
    entire reverse lookup zone.

    Syntax I'm using:

    >dnscmd /enumrecords in-addr.arpa 10.3.5.0

    Results:

    C:\>dnscmd /enumrecords in-addr.arpa 10.3.5.0
DNS Server failed to enumerate records for node 10.3.5.0.in-addr.arpa.
    Status = 9601 (0x00002581)

    Command failed: DNS_ERROR_ZONE_DOES_NOT_EXIST 9601 (00002581)

Of course I've tried numerous variations based on the usage instructions and
other examples I've managed to find around the net. No soap.

I really just need a solid example of how to enumerate the PTR records in
    the 10.3.5.0 subnet.

    Anyone help a brother out?

    Try dnscmd /enumrecords 5.3.10.in-addr.arpa @

(You do not need the last octet for reverse zones)

Let us know if this works.

    Bingo. That did it.

I neglected to include the @ after I spelled out the zone.

    Thanks SlowBob.
