Event ID 2019 and Event ID 333

I have a gateway server running windows server 2003 sp1 and about every 4 or
5 days the server stops responding. When you try to log ontot he server
locally you get the following message: The application failed to initialize
    properly(0xc0000044).
then you just get a gray screen...hitting ctrl alt del to open task manger
just brings up the same error. In the event log there are the events in the
subject appx every 15-20 seconds. A reboot fixes the server for about 4 days
and then this happens again. It sounds like a memory leak but i cannot
figure out what would be causingg it. When the server is up i check the NP
pool in the task manger and nothing seems to be using abnormal amounts of
    memory. HELP PLEASE

When you view the logged events in Event Viewer in the upper right corner,
third button down is a copy to clipboard, then you can paste in the body of
    a reply message.

Please do so for each of the different System Log events (that are a Type:
'Error' or 'Warning') since last boot so we can see all of the event detail.

Re: Event ID 2019 and Event ID 333

Is the server overloaded? This article may help.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;317249

I check the DHCP server setting over even though it returns with "The
    operation completed successfully"

I'd also get the network adapter configuration issue resolved.

This one may help with the 333 and or the 42 error.

Re: Event ID 2019 and Event ID 333

Typical cpu usage is under 5%
memory usage usually sits around 650-700MB out of 2GB
    network usage is around 0-1%
the time that the server actually starts to crash is at a period when there
    is little to no use.
The server is home to symantec AV corp edition 10.1.4 (i think) about 700
home folders and roaming and mandatory profiles. It also oes WSUS, and runs
    peachtree acct for 1 user.
From the task manager stats it does not seem to be overloaded

I'd try to work through the issues. Also check the symantec site since there
    are known issues.

Re: Event ID 2019 and Event ID 333

I thought it might be a symantec issue but we are on the latest version and
this is not a known issue with that version. They also do not run arcserv.
They use veritas and only the remote agent connects to this server...I really
dont know what else to check i am going to try the vssapi.dll "patch/update"
    tonight
    thanks

You're welcome. Hope it helps. I'd also look at the Tcpip.sys hotfix.

Re: Event ID 2019 and Event ID 333

If you are logging an Even ID: 2019 this means the system has run out of a
    critical pool of memory.

    To troubleshoot, please start here:
