All services in Windows XP disabled

Suddenly something went wrong with my computer and need some urgent help form you all guys. When I turned off this computer yesterday it was running very fine without any problem but today when I started it I found that it is not allowing me to use Internet. I thought there would be something wrong with the Ethernet card. Try to open Device Manager but it was also disabled. Later I found that all services are disabled in my computer.

I removed the hard drive, connected it on another computer and scanned it with an updated Antivirus but it found nothing. Do you guys have any idea what could have been wrong? I tried getting some help from Google but found nothing. Somebody please suggest something. Thank you.

Hey buddy, you are not alone with that problem. Even one of my friend is also facing exactly the same problem. However, I’m trying out few things to fix it out such as scanning, HijackThis , etc. If I got it fixed, will surely reply here the solution. Check back again later.

Bits and pieces found in HijackThis... removed them and then ran a Windows Repair... that finished and then a lot of services were started again... had to go through the list and enable/start some myself though...
    Good luck!
