Good news for the owners: the smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will have the right to upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The smartphone Galaxy S4 LTE-A is not the only former Samsung model that will benefit from the upgrade to Android Lollipop. Although it was not part of the list of eligible smartphones disclosed in October 2014 and it seemed pretty unlikely due to its age, it seems that the phablet model of Galaxy Note 2 will in fact have the right to upgrade. The news had been suggested in late December by the Finnish portal of the manufacturer and has been confirmed by the Polish branch in a tweet.

However, no release date was provided. Given the length of this model and especially the difficulty faced by recent models already receiving Android Lollipop, it will likely have to arm themselves with a lot of patience and cross your fingers that the plans are not changed during this course.

To recall, the update brings a new Android Lollipop notification manager, new security modules (including Kill Switch that seems to effect) and better battery life. Videos allow you to get an idea of what happens on the Samsung devices with TouchWiz interface.
