The next generation of watches for Samsung could be directly bundled with future phablet Galaxy Note 4.

After Galaxy Gear comes to migrate to Android and Tizen with a second generation Gear 2 directly under Tizen OS, giant Samsung is expected to introduce a new model this fall, in conjunction with the launch of the Galaxy Note 4 phablet at the 2014 IFA in Berlin.

This event will show the new Samsung Gear 3 (unofficial name), unless the manufacturer decides to make Tizen OS reference for watches, it could also be offered as a bundle with the Samsung phablet and thus sold at the same time, suggested by the Korea Herald, highlighting the efforts of Samsung to not release the pressure on the segment, especially since the second half of the year could make an iWatch watch emerge from Apple, with advanced sighting during the presentation of iOS 8 during the WWDC 2014 keynote.

Samsung Smartwatch

The Korea Herald gives few clues on the characteristics of the next generation of connected watches, merely stating that the Gear Solo, standalone version of the Gear 2 with a SIM card, will serve as interim pending Gear 3.

This eagerness to get any watches every six months told analysts that Samsung is trying to shorten the cycles by bypassing the new competitors like Apple and LG Electronics (to launch of LG G Watch) and it may not allow time for its own products to flourish.

For Gear Solo, Samsung has also not been planning mass production, preferring to launch its product in some markets from July.
