Panasonic at CES 2013 has launched FZ-G1 - Windows 8 Pro tablet and JT-B1 – Android Tablet. The Panasonic FZ-G1 has 10.1-inch screen with a 1920x1200 resolution powered by 3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3437U vPro clocked at 1.9GHz up to 2.9GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, 4 to 8GB RAM, 128 to 256GB SSD and runs windows 8 pro. It has a replaceable powerful battery that can live up the device for 8.0 hours. It’s a rough and tough tablet as it has MIL-STD-810G, 4-feet drop, IP65 and is operable between 14° to 122°F. As far as connectivity is concerned it supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB 3.0, HDMI, Full size USB 2.0, wired LAN and an optional embedded 4G LTE or 3G
I/O. It is expected to be available in March with a starting price of $2,899 which in India will be around 1, 60,300 approximately.



On the other hand the Panasonic JT-B1 has 7-inch screen with a resolution of WSVGA (1024 x 600) powered by TI OMAP4460 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM and runs Android 4.0 ICS operating system. Even Panasonic JT-B1 is a rough and tough tablet as it can handle 5 feet drop and can operate between IP65, 14° to 122°F. It has 13.0MP auto focus rear-facing camera with LED flash and 1.3MP front facing camera for video calling. It has a powerful 5,720mAh battery which promises to live it up for 8.0 hours just like FZ-G1. For the connectivity it supports Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, optional embedded 4G LTE + 3G
I/O via Micro USB. It is expected to ship in February with a starting price of $1,199 which in India will be around Rs. 66,000 approximately.


Both these rough and tough tablets will be come bundled with number of professional-grade accessories for supporting printers, keyboards, magnetic stripe readers, smart card readers and multi-unit storage and charging solutions as well.
