World leader in Processor manufacturing Intel today launched two new Tablet PCs designed specially for Students. The two tablets are named as "Educational Tablets" and come in 7-inch as well as 10-inch variant and are running on Android operating system. Lets find out what configuration the tablets carry.

Running on Android 4.1 JellyBean operating system Intel Education 7-inch Tablet comes with capacitive touch screen display offering 1024 x 600 pixels resolution which surely quiet enough for running educational apps and projects. The tablet is powered with Intel Atom Z2420 CPU (single-core Atom, Hyper-Threading enabled) processor along with 1GB of RAM making the device perform smoothly with better multitasking. It also comes with 2MP rear as well as 0.3MP VGA front facing camera for making video calls. As per storage we get 8GB built-in memory, however not sure if there is any external SD slot provided.


The next variant Intel Education 10-inch Tablet features 10-inch Capacitive display with HD 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It is running on bit older Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwhich operating system. There is confirmation whether the device will receive JellyBean update in future. Intel has powered this tab with 1.6GHz (HT-enabled) Medfield chip processor along with 1GB RAM and offers 16GB built-in storage. There is no external SD card slot provided. The 10-inch variant to comes with 2MP rear camera and 0.3 megapixel front camera.

As per connectivity both 7-inch and 10-inch tablets supports WiFi and Bluetooth file transfer. Being educational tablets the come pre-loaded with apps like eReaders, note, lab tools, painting apps, etc. As of now there is no confirmation about the release date or Price but will be revealed soon.
