SymNetDrv Firewall Filter and ASP Pages

I am migrating ASP pages from an XP laptop to a Vista Business laptop running
IIS 7.0. The ASP pages query a MS Access database. Everything is on the local
machine, althoug the page is pulling data from another site (Google Adsense).
When I attempt to load an ASP page, it hangs for at least 60 seconds, and
then I get an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." I ask Vista to
diagnose the connection problem, and it says

"The following policy might need to be adjusted to allows Windows to connect:
    Policy Provider:
Filter Name: SymNetDrv Firewall Filter INBOUND_TRANSPORT_V6"

Turning off Norton Security's Firewall did not help. I'd like keep it unless
dumping it is the only solution.

I can't tell if ASP is making the connection to the database, although I
noticed that the page partially loads sometimes, though the partial load does
not have any data from the DB. I've checked the IIS log and I don't see
anything obvious to explain the problem.

Please help. I'd like to get this site running as smoothly on Vista box as
    it did on XP.

RE: SymNetDrv Firewall Filter and ASP Pages

Just thought I'd let you know that I figured out that ASP issue. Turns out
that it had nothing to do with ASP, but everything to do with a change in how
Vista handles DNS resolution on local machines. I discovered it totally by
accident while clicking around in the IIS manager. On XP Pro, you can put in
the machine name after http:// and the webserver will start (assuming it's
installed) and load the page. If you do the same thing on Vista, it hangs.
However, if you sub "localhost" or 127.0.0.1 for the machine name on Vista,
it works beautifully. Something for your files. This was intensely
frustrating. I'm surprised that no one else has spotted this issue, as near
    as I can tell.
