AcGenral.dll error launching exe file on Windows Vista

I have installed Windows Vista 32 bit on my computer. whenever I am trying to launch any exe file on my system I am getting following error message.

C:\Windows\AppPatch\AcGenral.DLL is either not designed to run on
Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using
the original installation media or contact your system adminastrator or
the software vendor for support.

Help me out please.

Well I wanted to tell you that ACGENRAL.DLL is system file which is the part of the group of the files which is responsible to handle the compatibility for the application of Windows Vista.

• You have to launch Control Panel and go for Administrative Tools and click on Event Viewer.
• Now go for Custom Views and select Administrative Events.

See that if there are any error messages or something like that.

Looking at the situation I recommend following thing which you can try to fix the matter.

1. You have to launch command prompt as administrator of your computer.
2. You have to click on UAC prompt in order to continue the process.
3. Now run SFC /SCANNOW and press enter.
4. Wait till the entire process is completed.
