Getting BSOD while launching Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of The Samurai

Recently I have installed Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of The Samurai on my computer. whenever I am trying to launch the game it results into BSOD. When I searched on the internet I found that there were lots of gamers who are suffering from the above mentioned issue. but no solution available to overcome from the problem.

In this particular situation I recommend to verify the integrity of gamecache.

1. First of all you should load Steam if it is closed.
2. Click on Library Section and right click on Game and select Properties from the right click menu.
3. Now click on Local Files tab from the resulting window.
4. After that click on Verify integrity of gamecache button.

You should wait till the entire process is completed and after that try to launch the game.

If you are an Alienware user then I am suggesting below mentioned solution which will be helpful to you.

• You should enter into BIOS set up by pressing Del.
• Go for Advanced Chipset Features and look for CPU Configuration and look the same.
• Now you have to select C1E Enhanced Halt State and disable the same.
  
• Finally Press F10 in order to save and exit.

Well I am highly suspecting that background process running on your system interfering with the game itself. Hence I am suggesting that you should clean boot your computer. also you should disable the antivirus program on temporary basis and see whether it is making any difference.

After going through the issue I think you will need to install latest version of Drivers on your computer. I mean you will need to install latest version of motherboard, graphic card drivers on your computer. you can get the same from the official website. After installing those drivers you should restart your computer. Let me know whether above mentioned thing worked for you or not.

Mostly BSOD issues are resolved by updating BIOS. Hence you should get the latest version of BIOS and install it on your motherboard.

Finally if any of the above mentioned solutions did not seems to work then I recommend that you should reinstall Steam as well as Video game on your computer. you should redownload Steam and game on your computer and you will need to reinstall the same.
