Strict NAT type on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with Thomson TG585v7 router

HI, i have installed this MW3 in my machine and when i was about to play the game i came to know that NAT type on my router is been set to ‘STRICT”. And for that i have already did lot of stuff but my NAT type is still strict. It would be immense if an important person has a fix for this router, really maddening whilst you lag and can’t connect to dedicated server properly. Any suggestion will be extremely appreciated.

    - i think you haven’t configure the router settings perfectly for the steam and that’s why you must be having such problem with the game, anyways Did you do this?

See your router address should be a bit like this “http://your IP address” just copy and paste into your browser then discover where your router stores your NAT/PAT settings, as the extent to i know they are more often stored in the advanced section of the http interface. And as you got the settings, make sure about the below mentioned values.

    TCP: 3074
    TCP: From 27014 to 27050

    UDP: 3074
    UDP: From 27000 to 27030

i am agree with the above user but still along with that you should also make sure what is the static IP address of your machine and is it same as what required. And while playing the game you should make sure router firewall and router security set to off. Together with this it would be better if you simply make windows firewall and antivirus also off, and see what happens. Since after the settings that’s the only thing that can affect the performance.

yeah almost all the settings that you have done seems perfect, so are you still having any problem with the game? I think you should call the steam support for the further assistance regarding the same.

i am not getting why you are guys making it so complicated. Anyways see i have motioned the simple steps for configuring the settings for the same.

    • - First of all you have to type in the Address bar, enter the default router IP address: “http://speedstream” and press Enter.

    • - This will displays the "Gateway Administrator Setup" window.

    • - Thus form the window you have gotten select Setup >> NAT/NAPT from the left navigation pane of the Web interface.

    • - As you click over there you’ll get the "NAT/NAPT Configuration" window showing the WAN Interface connections.

    • - Thus from that you have to select the strict option to moderate and everything will be fine again.
