Rage vs. Gears of War 3

I actually stuck here, which one I buy. Because I don’t have much money to buy both games. I will get other game later on. So please give me your suggestions for this.

Here I have some pros and cons for your help. So just go through this:

GOW3:

1. Fun game loved the other 2 installments of the game and would defiantly like to finish up the story.
2. After the campaign is completed i can fall back on the multiplayer and enjoy all of the new modes and updates to the game like Beast mode, Horde mode with the new added defensive things. Plus everyone’s playing it right now.
3. Only down side is i don’t have Live atm but would have to get it eventually if i wanted to play online there is the down side (but live would allow me to play my other games on live as well so it’s not terrible)

Rage:

1. It would be on PC at max settings!!!
2. Wouldn’t have to pay for live atm
3. Brand new story to start.
4. PC version will be getting all of the developer’s editor tools! But I don’t really know what people are going to be able to do with that unless they can make like new levels and things.
5. Looks awesome and seems like it’s going to be a very fun game but i have a bad feeling it’s not going to have the biggest replay value like 2 or 3 run through and i don’t see me playing it too much after that.
6. Don’t know if it even has a multiplayer mode or a coop mode.

That is a tough choice. Both games include Co-op (at least console versions of Rage do, so I am assuming PC version will too), both look great and look amazing. But what are you craving more? FPS or 3rd person shooter? A more single player focused game, or a game that can be taken online? A more open world or a more closed world? I personally am going to get Rage first, simply because it’s something new. I have played Gears 2 to death, and am ready for a change of pace. Really depends on what you’re more in the mood for. If you’re dying to know what happens in the last Gears, then get it. If you think you can wait, go with Rage, especially since you won’t have live till later.

I think i might do rage and find me a redbox (if they ever get it) that has gears in it! my rig should be more than good enough to run rage and I am hoping the modding community comes through with some cool mods to make this game have more lasting appeal or at least to get me to BF3 and Skyrim.

Rage is not going to be a buggy controls unlike GoW2. Cliff Bleszinski just has a big mouth I never admired that guy much - he's into this interviews for console games now that they stopped doing unreal and it feels like he's just talking BS all the time. I have watched the American Chopper where Paul Jr. Designs made a GOW3 bike for Epic Games and when Bleszinski spoken he was just playing himself of being the show clown (doing everything for promotion even if it includes telling BS, lying, overreacting, exaggerating and making him look stupid, but it does work for the console market) and that half-ass-teeth smirky smile just makes me to punch his face.

Gow3 was a waste of money for me. The campaign was crap, terrible, worsted acting and one liner ever. The whole campaign was one liner. They should have never put ice tea in it, terrible voice and unbelievable acting like the other voices but his was much worst.

I think anyone that has been keeping up with rage knows by now about the racing and the coop so yes I am talking about those. Rage multiplayer is going to be great. Id weapons and gameplay Mixed with Twisted Metal idea = profit! I can’t imagine all the cool weapons I am going to be able to put on my buggy and rally around at 100mph and ram and blast things away, going to be fun. Coop is going to be great as well. But I am really looking forward to the campaign and the racing. Let’s move away from the same cod.

Ignore the obvious trolls who haven't played GOW3. If you enjoyed the other Gears, you'll enjoy this. The mp is much smoother and the campaign is massive. If you haven’t got Live, I would get that before you get Gears because online is a major part of the game.

Rage: The new game from the creators of the shooters. Despite this Gears of War or any other series is inspired by Doom or Quake. Are the influences of all shooters. Since Doom 3 in 2004 did not launch any game so far. Gears of War 3 are a game I also hope so. But I give more priority to RAGE by its developers, id software, creators of the fps and have much affection for them asm. If anything does not convince you, wait to see the criticisms of RAGE.

As for RAGE, my guess is that the campaign is going to feel much bigger and much more satisfying - but it's also introducing players to a new universe, and that alone holds its own appeal. You could argue that it would probably be best to go with RAGE simply because it's a hell of a lot more of a NEW game to you than Gears of War 3 ever could be. After having played Gears 1 & 2, part 3 won't seem terribly new to you. I could argue that for this reason alone, Gears of Ware 3 can wait a while because in many respects you've already played that game.
