No sound after Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad start

I have managed to get into a game and the beta works fine except for the fact that there is no sound. I've heard it all well before the main menu. All sounds work properly in the cable tension, Georgia, logo screens and unreal but as soon as it goes around the main menu in silence.

Possibly you should attempt and install drivers for your soundcard. I can't locate any for mine and all of the solutions I came up with up to now haven't worked.

I have the exact similar trouble. The whole thing else works well, but there is completely no sound later than the menu opens. No menu music, no menu clicks, ingame I hear not anything. I can hear all the logos and things at startup also but after that it’s all mute.

Do you utilize an Nvidia Graphics card? Did you setup the HD Sound driver from Nvidia? If yes,
just attempt uninstalling this via Add/Remove Programs in control panel, Windows 7 will setup default drivers. If you can’t see any changes, go into device manager and immobilize HD Sound from the sound drop box, but do not immobilize your main sound device. Nvidia HD sound driver has been known to clash with other programs.

I solve my sound problem by altering my sound from mono to stereo from control panel.

People attempting to update their via audio drivers should test out the support page for their motherboards. Generic VIA drivers might not work correctly. If you have VIA sound drivers, make sure you have "enhancements" twisted off (someplace in your desktop sound settings). As well, if you have USB headphones, attempt a different sound source.
