Call of Duty 4 Error 1305

I am having the same error NUMBER as most people but not the same MESSASGE ; here is what it says ;
Error 1305 Error reading from file E/SETUP/DATA/MAIN/localized_english_iw00.iwd

The disk is fine and the CD key is valid,and I dont want to get a new copy just yet.Any help?

Oh,and just a helper,all the other files install perfectly clean,its just the one above.

What is the E drive in your case? Is it the DVD drive? If that is the case then I think that there is some problem with in reading the disk. The CD cannot be read from the optical drive. So you can do the update to the DVD drive in your computer and see if that is able to solve the issue for you. Please reply if that also doesn’t help you. Thank you.

Thanks,I figured it out.The disk was not reading that file because of an unfixable scratch I didn't notice.I will buy a new copy soon.Do you still play this game on PC? If so add me on steam [xXONESHOTJRXx] and I'll tell you when I get the game.Maybe we can get in a match sometime.I have blackops also.Later.
