Call of Duty Black Ops causes PC screen to freeze

I installed Call of Duty Black Ops game in my computer. There is a some problem i am facing while playing this game on my compute. After 3 to 4 minutes at the single-player or at the multiplayer mode my computer screen freezes but the sound from the surrounding play. Then i try ctrl+ alt+ delete and from task-bar end this game task. What i have to do to solve this problem? Please help me as soon as possible.

Same problem i faced with my computer. I tried lot of things but problem was still there. Then one of my friend suggest me one trick and it solved my problem. If your running it on steam. Then Run steam in offline mode and then press at the same time ctrl+ alt +del during the game. It open your task manager. Then close the running process steam.exe. I've tried this. I think it solve your problem.

I think if there is a problem in your system then also you have to face this type of problem. If Call of Duty Black Ops game system requirement not fulfill by your computer system then also you have to face the problem.

PC screen to freeze while playing online then it is also possible that you may be having a network problem. I have the same problem as Wamilr. The game just randomly freezes, no matter how much i've played. Im running a GTX260 & i5-750@4ghz setup so it shouldn't be about not fulfilling the requirements. I have the latest nVidia drivers and none of the components overheat during gaming. If anyone has solved this problem, please reply

I had this problem several days ago, and I opened the side of my computer, blew the dust out, and simply left it open with airflow. So unless you know that it isn't a video card overheating issue or something of the sort, thats where I would start.

The video card stays at around 60-65 degrees celcius during gaming, so it's not about it overheating. I played about 5 hours yesterday and the game didn't freeze even once but i did have two bluescreens so i added a fan to cool the.. mhm.. what is that thing in P55 anyway, northbridge? After that everything has worked fine, hope it stays like this.

Realy??? .... Disable any anti-virus and firewall ??? Thats realy not clever "solution". Only thing you will manage is to completely destroy youre PC with flood of viruses and malware ... nothing more.

Btw.: Game freezes is singleplayer too.

I checked my console and it crashed when: AI (entity 834, origin 19008.7 12594.9 -403.9) couldn't find path to goal. what is that? Boo 4 developers!

Graphic card is not a problem. All other app are working fine. Problem is fatal error in COD console during playing COD. They need to repair those programing lines and stop releasing BETA version of the game. Iam sick of it realy.
