Game problems with Windows 7 64bit

After a recent upgradation to Windows 7 from Windows Vista, I am facing some issues with this operating system. The main situation is that there are some game problems with Windows 7 64bit. I have tried playing the games like Godfather 2, Counter Strike and Hitman. Well, they cannot start in my system. CS was able to start, but it displayed a very bad graphics. Why is this problem happening? Please help me with all possible suggestions to solve this problem.
