Split Second DLC code not functioning

I have a Playstation 3 console and I am playing the game application Split Second. The problem is that I am not able to use the code for the cars to work. I do not know what could have been the issue. Please do help me out in order to sort the thing. I have no idea for working out with the same. Any help will be appreciated.
