Mass Effect 2 awc.dll load failed

In my Mass Effect 2 I am facing a awc.dll load failed issue on my PC. I was playing the game and suddenly in the middle of the game the error popped up. I had checked out for some specific solution for the error. But there is nothing mention online. I had download this game from Direct to Drive. Does this is a type of setup error or any file missing. How to fix it.

I too faced similar issue. I had too downloaded the game from D2D. Recently the only changes I did is that I had downloaded the new DLC for the game. After properly applying the Digital Content the game crashed on the error. I am not able to figure out the issue which is regarding the setup or dlc. Does there is any specific solution to fix the issue.

Try to get a new version of Adobe Air or just check out that in your system Adobe Air is activated properly or not. In my case I had used EA Activation tool which failed the Adobe Air update and the error popped up. For this you have to go on get.adobe.com/air and download the update manually. Run the system and reboot your system. Checkback again.

That is right Adobe Air version is causing the awc.dll issue. For this just download the same from official site and then run cmd from start menu. Once downloaded then visit the folder c:\user\downloads\masseffect2_digitaldeluxeedition_ddsetup\software. Here you have to type the following command : eaaccessinstaller.exe /s /dir C:\Program Files (x86)\Mass Effect 2\Binaries.

This is due to the bonus content. Most of the users are facing similar issue here. The game works well before the new DLC is added. After that only the error comes out. I had downloaded the Digital Deluxe Edition via D2D download manager. After the installation I updated Adobe Air and thus run the game. You have to ensure that Adobe Air is properly updated, otherwise the game will not work.

I think the issue does not belong to the bonus content. I am too having similar problem. After downloading the game from Direct2Drive I tried running the game and setting up the configuration as per my need. I am using Windows 7 x64 edition on my PC. I had updated Adobe Air manually then and the game works. You will require to do that manually if the automated setup fails.
