Just Cause 2 cannot start application 0xc0000022

I have installed Windows 7 64 bit just to play the Just Cause 2 game that I was waiting from so long time. I got the dvd installed it all fine but when I try to start this game it gives me an error message stating that cannot start application 0xc0000022. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue. I cant wait to play this game much longer. Thanks

This seems to be a Windows Error, try the below:

Start --- Run -- --- cmd.exe* and type the below

CACLS %systemroot%\System32\*.dll /E /G BUILTIN\Users:R
CACLS %systemroot%\System32\*.ocx /E /G BUILTIN\Users:R

and then restart your pc.

Try this different solution if the above doesnt work cause it is most likely to be a virus issue of some sort. You can use some tools that to resolve this issue which is called SmitFraudFix. Download SmitFraudFix 2.423. Boot in to safe mode and follow the instructions on screen after installing it to clean your pc.

What is your computer configuration? There are some fixed available on gamecopyworld that you might wanna try. However many are facing the same problem and there hasnt been a solution for the same since a couple of days till now. Try the above procedure about removing the virus from your pc and then reinstalling the game again.

Which video card do you have, update it to the latest version of driver. You can also use Driver Cleaner Pro to uninstall any previous version of graphic card. You just need to reboot into safe mode and Driver Cleaner Pro for your graphic card and afte sucessfully uninstall reboot back into Windows and install the new drivers and reboot for the last time.

I think that you might also have to update your sound drivers, motherboard chipset drivers for Just Cause 2 game to fully function on your pc. Download Everest that will guide you what all hardware components are installed on your config and accordingly download the drivers for them on manufacturers website. Once you install all the latest drivers then try to reinstall the game again and check whether it works or not.
