FPS in CS Source with 8800 gts

Hi,
I play counter strike source. I have GeForce 8800. I need best video support for playing counter strike source. Do i need better graphics card? What fps i will get with this card?

Any help will be appreciated.

It can probably be a driver issue, if you are getting low fps. Try the latest driver. May be old one can make it for you. And the source games have low fps. Try to get some latest driver updates.

What resolution are you using? The resolution may be set too low for this card. Improve the resolution and see if it can fix the low fps problem. Go through GEForce 8800GT FPS falling sharply for more information to increase the fps rate with GEForce 8800GT.

You should check the setting for the graphics and the driver updates as well. Make the resolution for wide screen i.e. 1920 x 1200. Keep some empty space on your hard drive. Do defragmentation of disk. Try playing with different resolution settings and select the best one. Stick with the old drivers if you have problems with new.
