    How to set up an Exchange account in Entourage 2008

    If you have a Microsoft Exchange account In your company or your organization have, you can use the account with the Account Setup Wizard automatically set. You can also manually set up the account by entering your account information. Refer to the Microsoft Exchange account administrator for the Microsoft Exchange account information before you set up the account.

    The Microsoft Exchange account appears in the list of e-mail folder. The items in the account folders are automatically synchronized between Entourage and the server running Microsoft Exchange Server.


    Automatically set up an Exchange account


    If you want to set up a Microsoft Exchange account automatically, you need the email address of your Microsoft Exchange account, and if applicable the name of the Microsoft Exchange server and the LDAP server, if they are not automatically recognized by Entourage. The wizard for setting up your account can not be used for setting up of all Microsoft Exchange accounts. In these cases, you must manually set up the account or accounts.

    Make sure that the computer is connected to the corporate network.

    1. Click the Entourage menu, click Account Settings.

    2. Click on the arrow next to New Account button and then click Exchange.

    3. If the New Account dialog box appears, click Setup Wizard.

    4. Enter the Account Setup Assistant box, e-mail address Your e-mail address that you check the box My account is on an Exchange server, and click the right arrow to continue.

    5. Follow the instructions in the wizard for account setup.


    IMPORTANT : Depending on the settings you have made to the account administrator for your account, you may be prompted to enter a "Realm". This is another name for a domain If you are logging on to a Microsoft Exchange account will be prompted to enter the realm, you must enter his name in CAPITALS, eg as TECHARENA.IN.

    Manually setting up an Exchange account on the network of the organization

    If you want to set up a Microsoft Exchange account manually, you must obtain the following data from your Microsoft Exchange account administrator: E-mail address, account ID, password, domain, name of the Microsoft Exchange server and the name of the LDAP server the organization that is used by the Microsoft Exchange account for the Global Address List. You may also need the name or address of the server with public folders or other information about the Microsoft Exchange server configuration in your organization. In addition, you may need to add a client certificate if you in your organization with a two-factor authentication being worked on.

    1. Make sure that the computer is connected to the corporate network.

    2. Click the Entourage menu, click Account Settings.

    3. Click on the arrow next to New and then click Exchange.
    If the Account Setup Wizard appears, click Configure account manually.

    4. Enter the Account Settings tab in the Account Name field the name that will be used for the account in Entourage.

    5. Enter Personal Information under the name and e-mail address that you want to use.

    6. The entered name is in e-mail messages that appear to send from that account, from the field.

    Do one of the following steps:

    Setting up an account with following identification method

    a. Other Identifying : Click Use my account information, and then enter the Account ID, domain and password.

    b. Kerberos identification : Click Use Kerberos identification and then click a Kerberos ID. If you want to create a new ID, click on the popup menu for the Kerberos ID and then click Create New ID.

    7. Enter data in the field under Server Exchange server's name or address of the Microsoft Exchange Server.

    8. Click the Advanced tab, and then enter the Public folder in the Preferences box, public folder server the server name or server address.

    9. Enter The Directory settings in the LDAP server's name or address of the directory service server.

    10. To add a client certificate for two-factor authentication with authentication Select Client Client Certificate-based Authentication.

    Note If the authentication certificate on a smart card, insert the card into the reader before clicking Select.

    11. Click on the tab E-mail security, to define a digital signature and encryption options, and then select the options you want.
