    Tips to shop online more safely

    These tips may help you shop online safely

    # Use Internet Explorer 7 and 8 because these browser provide another layer of protection with sites that use Extended Validation (EV) Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificates. An EV SSL certificate not only helps ensures that the communication with a Web site is secure, it also includes information about the owner of the Web site, which has been identified by the Certification Authority (CA) issuing the SSL Certificate. The address bar turns green and has both https and the closed padlock.
    # Companies can put seals on their sites if they abide by a set of rigorous standards such as how personal information can be used. So just first look on that seal. If you see the seals, click them to make sure they link to the organization that created them.
    # Browser filters warn you about reported phishing sites and block you from visiting them. For example, two browser filters are the Smart Screen Filter in Internet Explorer 8 and the Phishing Filter in Internet Explorer 7.
    # On the Web page where you enter your credit card or other personal information, look for an "s" after http in the Web address of that page. It should read: https://. S for secure HTTP.
    # Also make sure there is a tiny closed padlock in the address bar, or on the lower right corner of the window.
    # Buy any thing from reputed site , Don't use any other site for shopping that you have not any information or you don't heard before.

    I will added more thing to shopping online safely ;

    #Make them at least eight characters and include upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols. Don’t use the
    same password everywhere.
    #Look out for alarmist messages, misspellings and grammatical errors, deals
    that sound too good to be true, and requests for sensitive info like account
    numbers. Turn on a filter like the SmartScreen Filter in Windows Internet Explorer 8 that warns you of suspicious Web sites.
