    powersaving tricks for Laptop

Hi, I purchased the new Acer Aspire 5100 last week. The Acer Aspire 5100 having AMD Turion 64 2.2GHz processor, 1GB DDR2, 250GB hard drive, and 15.4" LCD it is definitely no slouch. I want to know the power saving tricks for laptop so that I can use it more time without charge it.

Following are some tricks that might be useful to your Laptop to save the battery.
    >> Set the screen brightness to the lowest level that you can use.
    >> Switch off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi if they are not needed. Many time it is kept on by user without any use which result in more power consumption.
    >> Always close all running application and processes that is not being used (Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Task Manager then click on processes tag and End the unwanted processes)
    >> Switch to Portable/Laptop or Max Battery profile using the Windows Power Management settings (Start -> Control Panel -> Power Options)

Disable following Devices if they are not in use card reader, Ethernet card, Firewire, even DVD/CD - transfer the data you need on the HDD, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (if you don't need it). Avoid the use of CD/DVD ROM as much as possible. Use the software provided by vendor for managing power consumption. Use the more cells battery because it has more life then others.
