By combining both functions into one product, Opera Mail users benefit from existing Opera browser features such as session restore, which saves your messages if you suddenly lose connection. So here i have tips and steps of Configuring Opera Mail with Gmail, Yahoo and AOL. Just find it out.
To Configure Opera Mail with Gmail, follow these steps:-
- First, enable POP or IMAP in your Gmail account.
- Go to Tools > Mail and Chat accounts
- If you have not yet created an account, you are prompted to create one, or just click Add.
- Select E-mail and press Next.
- In the dialog, type the following and click Next:
- Real name - this is the name that displays in the From field of e-mails you send
- E-mail address - your complete Gmail email address.
- Organization - Name of your organization (optional)
- In the dialog, type the following:
- Login Name - your Gmail login name
- Password - your Gmail password
- Depending on the service you enabled in your Gmail account, select POP or IMAP and click Finish.
If you are using IMAP with Gmail, go through the following settings after setting up your IMAP account, to optimally sync your Gmail account with Opera Mail:-
- Go to Mail > IMAP Folders.
- Under Accounts select your Gmail account.
- Now, uncheck the following folders:
- [Gmail]/All Mail
- [Gmail]/Spam
- [Gmail]/Trash
- Click Ok
