A cookie is a file stored on the hard disk of the user to enable the web server to recognize a web page to another. Cookies are used by websites in order to maintain the user session (and preferences) at its site navigation.
Firefox 2.x/3.x (Windows / Mac)
- Click on Tools> Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac)
- Select the Privacy tab
- Check Accept Cookies
Firefox 1.x (Windows / Mac)
- Click on Tools> Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac)
- Select the Privacy tab
- Click on the + sign in front of Cookies
- Check Allow sites to set cookies
- Click OK
Internet Explorer 6.x or 7.x (Windows)
- Open the Tools menu> Internet Options
- Select the Privacy tab
- Click on Advanced ...
- Check the box Override automatic cookie handling
- Check the boxes to Accept Cookies and Third-party Cookies
- Check the box Always allow session cookies
