Some of you must be wondering about the built-in Administrator account in Windows XP and that why it is only visible and accessible in the Safe Mode and not through the normal mode? Well, even I wonder why Microsoft has kept this so called Administrator hidden from all!
But now, you can get this built-in Administrator account of XP on your welcome screen in the normal mode just by doing some registry changes. Yes!!
Follow these steps to change the registry settings,
- Launch Registry Editor by typing regegit in the Run window.
- Find this registry key in the Registry Editor,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList- Double-click the Administrator key in the right pane.
- If the Administrator key doesn’t exist, right-click on the above tree in the pane, choose New, DWORD Value, name it Administrator and press ENTER.
- In the Value data box type 1, and press ENTER.
Thats it. Now you can access Administrator account through your normal mode![]()
