Calculate Time Spent on the Internet in Firefox 3

With TimeTracker extension, you can easily tell the time you spend a whole day or to surf the Internet with Firefox. Attention, it can be scary!

    • In Firefox, click Tools and then click Add-ons.

    • Then click on the Catalog tab.

    • In the search field, enter TimeTracker and press the Enter key.

    • Click the module that was found and then click the Add button in Firefox.

    • Click the Install Now button.

    • Then click the Restart button to install TimeTracker.

    • Now, a counter is displayed at the bottom right of the window and informs you of your time browsing today.

    • Move the mouse a few moments on the counter to display the total length of navigation, and other information.

    • To reset the counter, click the right mouse button and choose the Reset.

    • Click Options to access settings of the meter. You can then choose to exclude certain sites from the accounting by entering their URLs. OK.

Hello , there Is a Yatimer Also You Can Check it Out

    Features
    • The main display is the task list, there you can see all your tasks color-coded, in the order you define or arranged in groups by client or project with timing information always visible.
    • Record both billable and not-billable time – and see what percentage of your time is billable.
    • See how your time is divided between clients and project.
    • You can have several timers running at the same time, when you need to multitask your software should also multitask.
    • yaTimer isn’t just easy to use, it’s also extremely efficient - all major features are just one mouse click away from the main window.
    • You can use countdowns as well as normal timers, countdowns can even play a sound when the time is over – and countdowns are tracked the same as timers so you can use what is more appropriate, you can even switch between timer mode and countdown mode whenever you like.
    • You can create a new task with the timer already running, for those situations where filling the task details are part of the task (like support phone calls).
    • You can save task details as templates and create pre-filled tasks with only two mouse clicks.
    • You can quickly pause all running timers, when you take a break and restart those timers when you return.
    • Zoomable user interface – so you can shrink the display to use less screen space or enlarge it to be clearly visible across the room.
    • yaTimer can print a wide variety of timesheets, including daily and weekly summaries.

According to me A Better Alternative to Timetracker would be , Meetimer because it has a simple role: it records where you spend your time online. It does it in a rather useful way, by allowing you to group websites into activities (e.g. Facebook = procrastination; Gmail = communication) so you can make sense of where your time is going. Finally, it accumulates time spent on a site over the course of a day, so when you think "just another 2 mins won't hurt" you realise that actually, yes, it will . it is another cool Firefox addon like TimeTracker, but it also shows how much time you have spent on each individual website, in addition to showing your overall time spent online. You can also place site urls into various groups and configure MeeTimer to show you a warning message when you visit a particular group or site.
