Well, you can do an experiment and get the answer for yourself. Install TimeTracker to your Firefox browser, and you can thence record the exact amount of time you spend online. You can thence compare it with your spouse’s record to check whether the survey’s findings are applicable to you.

TimeTracker is an interesting addon to Firefox browser which can track your browsing time across your online sessions. This tiny application’s latest release can be downloaded via the link here. Once it is installed, you need to restart your Firefox browser to get the tracking clock to work. The little timer will appear in the lower right-hand corner of your browser. Double click on the clock and you will be prompted with a menu where you can configure your tracking option. You can list down certain sites that you would like categorized as “work” sites that are not counted by the clock. You can pause and reset the counter as well.
