You can copy text in excel with the mouse. No need to use keyboard shortcuts. Following steps will show you, how to copy text from one cell to another without using copy and paste:
- Type is some text into cell "A1".
- Click on cell "A1" so it has the active border around it.
- In the lower right hand corner of the active border there is a small square.Left click on it with the mousepointer and hold the button.
- Drag the mouse over to cell "B1".
You can see the contents of cell "A1" copied to cell "B1".
