I want to set the integrity level of the Firefox at the lowest of the all. I am not knowing that how to do it and also what is the method to do it. So does anyone among you over here know how to do it and what are the steps required for it, then please tell me about it. Thank you.

I wanted to tell that it is not possible to do and also you will be not allowed to do it, as the Windows XP does not allows to do it and also you have to use the Firefox at the Current level which it is running at present.

The above user is correct and what you are talking about is the protected mode. The protected mode is not been supported by the Windows XP and also if you try to do then you will be messing with the system and also with the Firefox. So I also recommend you to use the Firefox at the present level and also it is better to use the Firefox without making the changes in the integrity of it.

I have also tried which you are asking for, when I was trying it then the windows has does not supported it and also the windows was crashed. I have done something wrong with the windows also, but the Firefox use to work better on the normal integrity level. So I would suggest you to use the Firefox at the normal level and also you will be able to use the Firefox better. If you are doing the Low integrity level then also you might does not get any much of the difference and also you will be using the Firefox at low usage on the Windows. So you better not try to change the Firefox to Low integrity level.

I have some of the method to do the Low integrity level on Firefox 8, you can try for you and see it works for you.

    • Just go the shortcut of the Firefox and right click.
    • On the Shortcut tab, click on the Advanced button and select the checkbox "Run with different credentials".
    • When you have selected the check box then double-click on the shortcut.
    • After doing that click on "OK" in the Run As dialog.

Even you can try another method which is easier to do it.

    • Right-click on the shortcut of the Firefox
    • Select Run As option
    • Then click on "OK" (as the checkbox is checked by default)

So you can try anyone of the method and try it for yourself.

The above user method might worked, if you have unchekced the "Protect my computer" option. When the option is been unchecked then the Firefox might have started and also you will be able to use the Firefox at the Low integrity level.
