Grayed out Stop Private Browsing & Clear recent history option in Firefox

I think that tile is title is enough to explain the problem. Earlier it was working well but from last two days I found that the option for Stop Private Browsing and Clear recent history has been grayed out and I cannot select that option. Can somebody tell me that what is the problem with that and how that can be resolved? I have tried with all the possible solutions that I know to get the issue resolved. Please help me friends.

If you wish to enable the Private Browsing with your browser then you will have to go to Tools->Options and that will open a new small window with multiple tabs on it. Select the tab as “Privacy”. Now click on the top drop-box and click on Custom. From there you will be able to check or uncheck the option for the private browsing. I hope this will help you with the private browsing part of your issue. I hope someone will reply soon for the Clear recent history option as well.

Just reset the setting for that to the default and that will solve both the problems that you are facing with the firefox. Good Luck!!!

If you have activated the "permanent" private browsing mode then the clear recent history option will be grayed out. There is only one solution for this and that is to disable the private browsing mode. I hope this will be helpful to you.

This could be related to virus. So just scan your computer with some updated antivirus and see if that can make any difference.
