Actually my work is related about surfing( and I also like to do surfing without any reason). So for that I use various browsers. But Firefox is most favorable for me. I just have download the latest version of it. But from that day I face the problem of linkification on my browser. I don’t recognize the main reason for that. Re: Linkification in the Firefox browser

    I read your problem. I can give you some advices for your problem. First you can try to reinstall your Firefox browser without any ‘speed hacks’. This advice I am giving you because some kinds of hacks have been circulating on the web from last 2-3 years. Actually they worked on the older version of Firefox but it can be possible that to infect the new version also. Because some of the suggested changes re 'hardcoded' into the Browser and they will not work. In other words, network.http.pipelining.maxrequests is now to its maximum value of ‘8’ so if you try to force a larger number then you will get the default of ‘8’. I have this much of information. I hope this will work for you. Thank you.

    According to your description I come to know that you make some mistakes in the installation or in the setting of the browser. So for that I recommended you to never play around the setting system of the browser unless you have any software intelligent (engineer) or you are someone who has helped in coding the browser itself. the linkification problem probably found due to network failure on your ISP’s end or the server could be down on the pages hoster. Sometimes this kind of problem also occurred due to some plugins that’s why it is important to use right mix of extensions and addons by you.

    Re: Linkification in the Firefox browser

    As per your description I think you have a linkification problem. This problem is widely found from various users of firefox. I have some ideas to solve these kind of problems. Here I am giving you some tricks to solve your problem. Actually I have modded a version of add-on for working with firefox . so first download the latest version of linkification fronm the developer site. Then open .xpi file with 7-zip and after that extract it and install it. After that open that file in the text editor having the capability of doing so (I will prefer notepad++). Then you have to change the following lines: “< em:maxversion>4.0.*< /em:maxversion>” to “< em:maxversion>5.0.*< /em:maxversion>“. Then you have to replace the install .rdf file in the xpi file with your modified one. Then go to the Firefox extensions panel and install from file. Then you can put .xpi file and your off and running.

    I also have same problem with my Firefox. So I can understand what the things you have to do with your browser to recover from this. You can annoyed the manual update to Firefox. By unzipping the content of the XPI you can produce a disparate set of files instead of one folder. Then after editing the RDF files in notepad you have to un-zipped the files and then change the extension of ZIP file to XPI. After that you can see the drag and drop installation of your system will run smoothly. In this way you can solve your linkification problem. I hope this will work for you. Thank you.

    I am giving the advice to you that you have to use older version or firefox 5(I prefer this one). First right click on the "Add to Firefox" download button and after that you have to select "Save Link As...". then select the Desktop to save it on the desktop by the dialogue box that comes up. Then you have to find addon-190-latest.xpi file from your desktop and change the file’s extension to .ZIP. then extract that zip file. Then you have to find the file called install.rdf from the extracted folder . open the txt file with the help of notepad. Then find the following text: <!-- Firefox -->
    <em:targetApplication>
    <Description>
    <em:id>{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}</em:id>
    <em:minVersion>1.0</em:minVersion>
    <em:maxVersion>3.6.*</em:maxVersion>
    7. Change the maxVersion from 3.6 to 5.0 (should look like: <em:maxVersion>5.0.*</em:maxVersion>). Then click on that file and it to the drive. Then close text file and extracted window. Then changed the extension of the file from .zip to .xpi. After that drag the auto_copy xpi file onto an open Firefox window that will install it. I hope this might give help to you while solving your problem.
