Windows live Hotmail is showing weird options

I have always been using Windows Live Hotmail for sharing emails with my friends and family and other purposes. Recently I have noticed that the sometimes, when I trying to send mails to few contacts I am getting an option which says that my friend’s account has been hacked, whereas sometimes it shows that the account is available. I find this option when I am trying to choose what I actually wish to do with certain emails. Can anyone tell me what actually is causing this issue? Is there any sort of changes with Hotmail? Please help me in clearing the doubt.

This seems to be really weird as nothing as such has occurred with me ever or I haven’t come across anything like this or read about anything related to this. Although I am not a Hotmail user so I am not sure about this thing. It might be possible that Hotmail might have added this new functionality in its mailing services and that is why you are being shown this option while you are trying to use your Windows Live hotmail emailing service.

I feel that this is some kind of malfunctioning with your current Windows Live hotmail account which you are using to send mails and other services. It might be occurring because of some bugs from the Hotmail side itself. You should most probably wait for some time for the issue to get solved, if it is from the hotmail side. I feel that the issue will be solved by itself as it seems to be from the Windows Live Hotmail side only. Yes, but is you seems this option to be occurring every now and then, than it is some serious.

I feel that the issue might be occurring because of some virus or malware attack in your account. I will suggest you to make sure that you have installed a Good and updated Internet Security Antivirus in your system. Also check out if you have been receiving spam messages in recent times or you have opened any email which you find to be suspicious. I will suggest you to make sure that you have deleted all the Spam messages which you have received. Don’t forget to remove them from the Trash folder as well.

I am also a regular Windows Live hotmail user and I have not noticed anything like this ever or lately. You should go to the 'Mark as' tab and check what exactly you are able to see. Check out what options you are getting in the following tab. Most probably you will be seeing only the following few options when you click on Mark As option: Read, Unread, Flagged, Unflagged, Phishing Scam. If you are finding anything other than these options, then this is a serious issue and need to be solved.

According to me all this is happening because of some suspect email. If this is the case then you should forward the following mail to the following email ID: [email protected]. According to me you should most probably contact the officials of Windows Live Hotmail and verify the issue with them. They are the best people who will be able to help you in solving the issue with your Hotmail account where you are able to see different options while you are using the Hotmail emailing services.

Thank you, for replying so fast to the post. I am really pissed with this issue now. I have done as you recommended and send email to the following email ID which you guys suggested me to do. I hope to get a reply from the officials. Until then I am planning to use some other email service. I have made account with gmail as if now. Just hoping not to face the issue with this new gmail account. I feel that I was facing the issue back then because of some phishing scam.
