Address bar is not working in firefox 5

I have recently upgraded my computer with all the latest hardware and I have installed windows 7 in my computer. Now after that I have also installed all the software’s which I needed in my computer. Normally I use the Mozilla Firefox browser in my computer so installed that also and after installing that I came to know that Mozilla Firefox 5.0 version is available and after that I have downloaded it. Now after doing that I am facing one problem. Whenever I type and URL in my address bar and after that when I press enter at that time it does nothing. Is there any way to solve this problem?

It looks like there is something wrong with your Mozilla Firefox browser and you can solve this problem by removing it completely from your computer and after that installing it again. Just try to solve this problem by doing this trick and then let me know whether your problem is gets solved or not. You should also try to solve this problem by deleting all the cookies and cache from your browser and after that check whether it makes any difference or not.

You have to first make sure that URL which you are typing is proper. Did you find this problem with any specific URL or you are facing this problem with every URL which you are trying. You should also try to open the pages by Copying your URL in address bar and after that pressing the green go arrow button which you can find at the end of your address bar. I think one of this tricks will fix your issue and you will be able to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Well I have gone through your above post and after that I have tried to solve this problem by Uninstalling the Mozilla Firefox from my computer and after that installing it again. Before reinstalling the Mozilla Firefox I have cleared all the cookies and cache from my Mozilla Firefox but that trick didn’t make any difference for me. When I have checked same thing with other browser at that time that browser was working fine but after that I get the same problem with other browser also.

As you have said that you are facing this problem with other browser also then I think your computer might be affected with the virus and I would like to tell you that if you are using antivirus in your computer then first scan your whole computer and after that check whether any viruses are detected or not and if any virus detected then delete that and after that check whether same problem is coming or not.

I have installed antivirus in my computer and after that I have scanned my whole computer and then also I was getting the same problem. Now after trying that have downloaded the Trojan remover in my computer and after that I have installed it in my computer and then it has find many Trojans in my computer and removed it also. Now after that my browser starts working normally. Thank you for helping me.
