    Extensions Disappeared in safari

I have just purchased a new Mac book pro which seems to be the only ace in the notebook market. So I just did some formal step and any user does when he takes a new laptop. I installed few applications and games that I frequently use and the installed some extension that a very important to me in the safari web browser as it’s the only browser that comes default with it and then I closed my mac book pro only to release that all the extension have just disappeared .

What extensions are you actually talking about there are extension available for safari web browser so please post me back the names of the extension so that I could tell you how to get them back or at least I can tell you what caused you the problems. I also suggest you to post me your system configuration and the operating system that you are using as that would help other user answer your query a better way around .

    Re: Extensions Disappeared in safari

I have installed just normal extension like the one we use in Firefox, Example ad blocker and you5tube .etc, but it just disappeared from the safari, I have no idea why and how did it. I am using a newly purchased apple Macbook pro which has 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 duo, Mac OS X ( 10.6.4) with a 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Any help is appreciated as this problem is not big enough so that I could take it to apple customer care.

Hey this is what I read on the Developer site , Safari Ad block is only compatible with leopard 10.5. So I guess you know where your problem lies and there should not be any issues regarding this problem I guess. I also recommend you the use of the glimmer in replacement of the ad block that you are already using . I think you should try install the glimmer application and then check it does persist. This extension is not only googd pop up blocker but it ‘s also leopard and safari 5 compatible.

I think you have installed the same extension that you previously installed for your Mozilla Firefox so I guess that‘s the problem why your extension are not visible in the safari web browser. Alternatively you can also check for if the third party application you have installed in your safari plug- in that are located in the something in the library file and the internet plug-in. and offcourse separated with a ~ tilde sign.

I had a similar kind of problem with my safari browser but , I did not knew how to fix it so I asked one of my friends who is into software. Hey suggested me to go to safari browser and open it and then move on the develop and the click on the enable extensions. This was the first step after that switch off and relaunch your safari and and then go to the safari and then move on to preferences and that would show you your installed software and extension associated with safari .
